We are proud of our dedicated and caring dental team, each of whom was carefully selected to provide exceptional care for our patients at every stage of treatment—from routine hygiene visits to the most complex procedures. Our team shares the same values of continued educational development and dental industry advancements to provide the best dental care possible. They strive to maintain the feeling of friendship and family that has always been a hallmark of our practice.
Dental Practice History
The practice was established by Dr. Marlin D. Walker in 1965. Dr. Marlin Walker graduated from Emory University College of Dentistry before serving in the Air Force for two years. When he began practicing dentistry, he was honored to become only the second full-time dentist in the entire Brandon area. Dr. Marlin Walker retired in 1998 after serving the community for 33 years.
When Dr. Marlin Walker retired, Dr. David Walker’s friend and dental school classmate, Dr. Eric Raynal, brought his skills and personal touch to our practice for 23 years before retiring in 2019.
Dr. Sarah Barr joined the practice upon Dr. Raynal’s retirement. She and Dr. David Walker intend to continue the practice’s traditions of quality dental care and feeling of family.
Our entire team looks forward to serving the Brandon community as your trusted dental provider for many years to come. We hope you enjoy learning a little more about us!

I am a new patient with Dr. Barr and have been very pleased so far. The first appointment was to meet with Dr. Barr to review my dental health. She was very polite and professional. She offered some great suggestions on future care but was not pushy at all. Today I had my first cleaning with Jillian and she did a wonderful job! She was ahead of schedule, told me what she was doing on each step and showed interest in hearing about my concerns. She was extremely gentle and seemed to be very thorough. The office staff have all been very pleasant and the office seems very clean. The aviaries are also a nice distraction. I am very pleased with my decision to switch dental offices and will be a long term patient.
